How do I know how big of a cage my bird needs?
A general rule of thumb is to buy the largest cage you can afford. However, we have found that some species, like African Greys, prefer a cage that is not TOO spacious - generally a 30" or 32" cages works well. What does matter is the width of the bars. We recommend 3/4" to 9/10" width bars for all medium to to large parrots and only getting bars over 1" in diameter for extra large birds (large macaws, cockatoos etc.).

Does size matter with bird toys?
Yes size does matter and no two birds are alike. That's where the fun comes in. We have recommended sizing for some of our toys. We suggest you use the bird sizing guide (found in the 'important Information' area) to identify the species of bird you are buying for. Then use your best judgment to select your toys. Rosie loves smaller toys that are shreddable where Beaker, likes to take wood toys apart. It is trial and error so have fun getting to know your bird and their toy preferences.

When will I get my order?
To save you on shipping costs, we ship our products UPS ground. We will email you a tracking number so you can track your package. Plan on about 5 - 7 days for your order to arrive unless we need to reconnect with you because a product is out of stock.

What's all this talk about "foraging toys"?
Birds should 'work' for their food - like they do in the wild. It's natural instinct to do so and foraging toys provide birdies with fun and enriching ways to 'work' for treats. You will find a great selection of foraging toys in our toy section.

What's the best food for my parrot?
There is no one best food but offering your bird a high quality pellet as the main part of their diet is a must (with few exceptions being eclectus parrots who need less pellet and more fresh fruits and veggies). As a supplement to the pellet diet, offer fresh veggies, fruits and treats (hot or cold). Rosie offers an extensive selection of foods for your birdies dining pleasure.

Does my bird need a companion?
Your birdie is part of your family. When you purchased him/her, they became a part of your flock. In general most bird owners have more than one bird - because they love them and because they want their bird to have companionship with another bird(s). Birds need their own cage but do enjoy spending time with other birds and that's fine. Be mindful, though, that it's possible for a bird to bond with another bird and then you could lose the pet potential/relationship you desire.

Are all your toys "bird safe"?
Yes, we only sell bird toys from reputable bird toy manufacturers who follow high quality production standards.

What's your return policy?
Please refer to the 'Fine Print' area of the site to review our return policy. In a nutshell, we cannot accept returned toys of any kind or food that has been opened.

What do you charge for shipping?
We use UPS ground to ship all our products. UPS determines the shipping cost based on the weight of the products you purchase and not on the dollar amount of your order. UPS uses the originating and receiving zip codes to calculate shipping cost.

Do you offer coupons?
Yes, we will be offering coupons. The best way to stay current on the specials that Rosie has planned is to be on our mailing list.

Can I buy gift certificates?
We plan to offer gift certificates in the future. Please contact us and we can make special arrangements for you in the interim.

We accept, VISA and Mastercard.
